E=MC², 2008 |
It’s cold outside and raining, the stage set for a band
The barman’s tall and handsome, black curls, California tan
Candy’s throwing glances at him every now and then
When she’s orderin’ tequilas for herself and a friend
The manager’s a big one, she’s standing at the bar
Talkin’ thru a cellphone to the singer in his car
He says he’s not that far away, but he’s stuck in a traffic jam
The band will start without him, they’re doin’ the best they can
In the multicoloured darkness
Multicoloured night
In the multicoloured darkness
Shine your light
Yoyo he got dreadlocks, he’s bouncin’ up and down
Drinkin’ and a-splashin’ his lager all around
He’s buzzin’ and he’s happy and he’s givin’ away some grins
Tryin’ to steal a kiss from every girl that smiles back at him
Well, Tom he never smiles, he’s only here to kill some time
When he’s ready with the slot-machine he will take another pint
There’s nothin’ on the box so he came here to ease his mind
He won’t talk to nobody, he’s just this way declined
In the multicoloured darkness…
Well, Kara’s walking over to the boy she knew back when
His girlfriend isn’t happy just to see them talk again
She moves over to the bar to get herself another gin
There’s Yoyo standin’ in her way and she’s grinnin’ back at him
The barman’s tall and handsome, black curls, California tan
Candy’s throwing glances at him every now and then
